I am coming to Lebanon for 3 weeks starting June 24. For now I am supposed to be staying in my Uncles house by the casino in Jounieh. I am Lebanese but have not been to Lebanon in 14 yrs i am from the US. I have no idea where anything is in Lebanon but if i am staying 5 minutes from the casino i want to see if anyone can tell me how far certain places are from the casino maybe in driving time. How far is Santa Theresa Beach Resort from casino, The Cornish park on the beach from casino, Hamra street, the Balloon ride. also i am on a tight budget so what is the safest and what is the cheapest way of getting around. like how much is a cab ride from casino to Santa Teresa? thank you!!

Well being next to the Casino is not close to Downtown Beirut, it is at least a 25-30 minute drive , if roads are empty, but with the traffic jam it would take a hour or so.

Santa Theresa Beach Resort I have never heard of so I can't help you there,Cornish park on the beach from casino , I didn't get this question, but if you mean the Cornish beneath the Casino is very close to where your uncles place is.

Hamra street is an hour + away .

The Ballon ride, if you mean the one in downtown beirut, then it is an Hour from where you are staying.

Cab ride from Casino to Hamra, or to Ballon ride would be $30 US dollars if not more but nothing is Fixed priced here, you can always bargain. There are Buses , but since you are not familiar with Beirut or Lebanon and there are so many Buses to take and change half way I doubt that would work for you, cause the Buses are not like the ones in the US, no schedule of Numbers here.

You better make sure your Uncle helps you out, even if you are not staying at his place, there must be other family members who have the car and the spare time to show you around and be your guide her.
