Is 1 day enough for both Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles ???

We plan to be there on a working day (no weekend.

Will start our journey at 10.00 hours from Garmish. Add a stop to Oberammergau.

Also please let me another one question : Usually, how is the wheather in the middle of July ?

Unless you are in Garmisch-Partenkirchen or Fuessen, or on a military (US) recreation area, probably not by public transit. Gary

Hi - we drove from Munich to Oberammergau to Fussen to GP. The ride is really nice. The drive from Oberammergau to Fussen took about 30-40 minutes but I can't remember how far it would be from GP to Oberammergau. Oberammergau is small enough to be seen in a fairly short amount of time. The last tour of Neuschwanstein is at 5:00. You'll need to factor in the time to get to the castle from the ticket center as well as time to go to Marienbrucke. I think it's possible to do as you plan, but you might feel a little rushed with no time to relax or stop at any unplanned places. The weather should be nice at that time but it will also be a crowded time of year. Enjoy!

I think it is possible to visit both on one day. You must have a good timing. It about 60 km (40 miles) between the places, one hour by car. You must be early on the first places, because in Neuschwanstein are many tourist and it is normal that you must wait a little until your leadership starts. If you leave there at noon and drive to Linderhof you must arrived in the early afternoon.
