Just booked a spurofthemoment stopover in Madrid. How can I secure bullfight tickets for the 17 or 18th of July. Faced a crushing disappointment on my last visit there 10 yeas ago. Bought ticket from a tout and then rained cancelled the show.

the bullfights in july, not up yet, they usually start by 20h30.

this site on right hand column ,says Ya en Taquilla Toros, click and see dates available so far its only until end of june, need to wait until end of june to see for july.

in Las Ventas Monumental plaza sometimes in July they have Novilleros or rookie bullfighters programs. When I lived there, I used to participate with a horse as one of my oncles was a rajonero there. The site I gave you its the official one and it has links to the tickets, but in spanish

A question on top of this: the site shows a bull fight on Aug. 7, 0800 hour -- am I correct in assuming this means 8 in the morning? And does this site mean I could order those tickets online and they would come to me here? or I would pick them up there? My Spanish has become very weak, and do believe I need a dictionary to help translate (unless you can?)

And one other thing I forgot -- where is Plaza de Toros de Pamplona? Is that part of Madrid/outskirts/easy to get to?

first corridas at 8hOO are rookies ,rajoneros types, the pros go in the afternoon most of the time. The ticket you can order online if you are concerned about where to sit, but I always buy on site at the counter ,no problems at all; you can choose sol=sunny or sombra=shadow sections, the sombra more expensive.

the plaza de toros de Pamplona is not Madrid is another city in the north, region of Navarra, Pamplona, where the famous running of the bulls fair is done every year.
