Auckland Hotels/ Service Apt near Hertz Downtown Auckland

Hi all,

I am picking up my rental vehicle at Hertz on Victoria Street. Is this coveniently located? What are the hotels or service apartments (at least 4-5 stars) that are within walking distance from Hertz? I would like to book one nearby as I am only staying for a night before pick up early next morning. Don't want to spend too much time travelling. Thanks.

you could walk from the Heritage cnr Swanson and Hobson St...s/be 4 or 5 star

Mercure Auckland (not Windsor), Heritage, Skycity, Stamford Plaza, Best Western President, and Rydges.

These are all on the right side of the city for you and are 4 or 5 star. The Mercure and Best Western are probably the furthest away from Hertz.

I have experience at the Mercure and Stamford Plaza and both are nice and well-established hotels in Auckland. The Skycity is attached to the casino.

The other hotels are newer and while I know them all, I have not visited them (except for Heritage when it was a department store).
