Tunisia Advice please!!

My cousin has booked a trip taking her 4 young children out to Tunisia. Eldest 8, youngest has just turned one. They are due to fly out in October. I am just wondering how safe people think this is? As one - three year olds cant stand high temperatures. I know it is her decision and i will not be interfereing but just need peoples opinions for my own uses. Thank you. Lx

It all hinges on your cousin's common sense, not the temperatures.

1-3 year-olds can cope with high temperatures, of course.....there are and always have been such young (and younger) children living happily in hot countries. As long as they are well-protected from the sun, given plenty of liquids, basic food hygiene rules are followed and they given opportunities to play and rest in cool shady areas there should be no problems.

I would also point out that Tunisia in October is not especially hot. Have a look at the climate tables here...they may reassure you:

As above said is common sence,if she thinks she can deal with 4 young childern on holiday, than thats fine.
Tunisia, my opinion, is best in May, September & Octomber.
Is warm, but not boiling hot and more important there are no Sahara winds, wich bring fine sand.
We have been many times in Tunisia, I, muself have 3 kids, and when my older two were 2 & 3 yrs old, we made our first trip there. Fantastic choice.
We have been back at least 7 times.
If she choosen Hotel wich have childern club/chreshe that is added bonus.
if you are so worried, why dont you hase chat with her, and just tell her that you have doubths about the trip.
But,seriously,do not worry, Tunisia is one of the nicest places in North Africa.
Tourism is highly developed and hotels aplenty.
Tunisians are very nice people & they genue like childern, thir familys have at least 3 childern.
If they see that you struggle, everybody will give you helping hand.
