Hi I live in Leeds so hopefully I can help the problem you have is the last train according to their website is at 22.35 so you cant get there that night.
The directions from the bus to the railway station are as follows {there are various ways but I will try to keep it fairly direct and simple}. Come out of the station on to Dyer Street and take a left you should be walking UPHILL this now becomes George street if you keep going up you should come onto a flat road called Vicar Lane take a left and walk you should see a large round building to your left {the Corn Exchange} the road will now bend round a right hand corner onto Boar Lane this road now takes you to City Square and the railway Station is to your left just as you get to City Square. I would say it will take about 20 mins in total.
Any further info dont hesitate to get in touch
Cheers

A useful travel site for buses & trains.

http://www.wymetro.com/plan/index.shtml

If you can travel to Wakefield then you can catch a bus in the adjacent bus station.

City centre maps can be found here

If you have luggage then it may be a bit of a pain to walk to the railway station - though it's only about a 10-15 min walk then you need to buy a ticket when you get there.

Have fun

Hi there,

Its not far at all, if u turn away from the Leeds Playhouse you need to walk on your right hand side......... as i remember you will walk out onto a main road with The Corn exchange on your right hand side, walk past, you need to be on a road called Boar Lane carry straight down, you should see signs for the trains approx 500 yards. Hope its some help.

The directions from the bus stn on Dyer st to the railway stn sound ok, but you shouldn't have any trouble getting to Wakefield from Leeds. The London trains from Leeds pass through and stop at Wakefield. Just don't fall asleep on the train as my friend did once or you'll end up down south. From Wakefield there are plenty of busses, or if they've stopped a taxi will only be around £5-£7.
Good luck

You can catch a bus from the same station to Wakefield. Think its the 110 service & runs to about 2200hrs on a Sunday night. Have a check online at bus time tables. The bus route does take almost 1 hour but will only cost you £1.10 single (unless its went up from last year) and saves you walking through Leeds City Centre close to the train station at that time of night.
