Can someone help me with shopping. I am leaving today.

1) Best place to buy local jewerly in Sorrento and Capri
2) Best place to buy food snacks like crackers, sun tan lotion in Sorrento
3) Good italian resturant with local cusine
4) Best swimming platform or beach

probably not any good jewelry values - pretty expensive places - but great looking

in sorrento, do not go to the Cave - its in all the books, but it is mediocre

on Capri, go dowwn an alley at the top and find abistro/cafe - can't remember any names, but they were all just terrific

rent a boat on the wharf at Capri or Sorrento and make your own beach and tour the entire Amalfi area - take the boat out to Capri and circle the island and swim in the bleu or green ghrotto

Sorrento is full of good Italian restaurants. There are tips on my Sorrento page of some of the ones I liked, but wandering around looking at all the menus is part of the fun.

have a look at my Sorrento pages. There is a supermarket on the main street going towards the station, past the main square. Can't remember the name - might be a Billa? has the best prices for limoncello.

Restaurant: Il Leone Rosso. We loved it and the prices are reasonable too. It's near the train station (see my Leone Rosso tip under my Sorrento pages).
