I am coming to New York this moth, I have some Dollar bills, one, 5 and 20 bills, from my last visit in 1993. I am woondering are they still acceptable ? Thanks |

No actually you can sent them to me express mail and I will replace them with 2009 bills.

Our treasury has changed the way they look now but the older currency is still very much in use.

The US Treasury Department started issuing bank notes in 1862. All notes issued by the Department, and thus backed by the US Government, remain valid. The USA is one of the very few countries which has never withdrawn currency notes. Designs change and new technological features are added, but older notes are still valid.
