Hello again,
My trip timeline has been moved up... I'll be taking my vacation in August. Anything particularly interesting I should know?
Thanks!

August is beach time ,great one nearby at Playa Las Arenas. Also do not missed the multi museum city of Arts and Sciences complex, the Oceanography museum is awesome, I was there when it open, and its the biggest in Europe. You have it all better explained here

Something I've been wondering... is there nightlife near the beach, or are all the bars/clubs in the city? I was looking through the Valencia page on here and it sounds like there's a great mix of mellow bars and places to dance... it sounds like a pretty cool place overall.

well biases have family (aunt) native of El Saler, but yes it is a nice area, and plenty of night activities in the city, and near the beach. The best area in the city is the barrio de Carmen or neighborhood, very typical levantine valencian, cosmolitan, bohemian, mix, you have it all. Some places that were good since not into them for a while now ::) are Frankenstein (old Mitjanit from my times and still going strong, alternative, rock),and Pinball (music 60 70 and 80), the place Carmen is litter with many to choose from according to taste.
Cha Cha is (latin, disco young crowds) by Malvarossa beach ,over ext from Las Arenas.and Monocle, all crowds, really very fast action.
Hope it helps

That site you gave me is awesome... my network is blocking the site for the metro though, I was actually about to ask you if you know how late they run? I probably will stay near the Centro, but I was curious how late the bus/metro run and how early they start (in case a night at the beach goes into the wee hours of the morning)...

Right, that's the site my network won't let me access. It doesn't have anything to do with the language... Big Army has some quirks. But I can check it out later on a different computer.
Thanks!

There is a lot of fun and activity after sunset in Valencia and many nearby areas. If you happen to be in Valencia during the time of the F 1 races you will surely find some extra activities. The area of the Port America is a hub of activities, specially in summer apart from many other discos and great pubs in the city. There are some specific areas like Carmen where there is a concentration of a variety of pubs. I have posted a few tips which you can check on my pages. You should find some addtional tips at the following link
