Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Vilnius Any comments on these Vilnius hostels/B & Bs - or any other recommendations?
Posted: Thu June 4, 2009 12:31 PM UTC
Hi all,
I've been trawling Vilnius accomodation sites, and have shortlisted the following places. Can anyone comment on any of them? Have you stayed there? Would you recommend them? Are they value for money? Clean? Are all OK in terms of location/walking distance to old town centre?
Thanks everyone.

We are looking for middle-of-the-road accommodation - fairly cheap, like ~30-60 Euro per room per night, want a private room, and preferably a private bathroom, and a slightly better standard than backpackers like Filaterai and Lininterp.

IN ASTRA B & B - J.Basanaviciaus St. 3. Apparently ~ 58 Euro per night.

HOTEL AMEDA GUESTHOUSE - Latvių Gatve 27. About 30-46 Euro per night.

FLORENS B & B - Aušros Vartų gatvė, Senamiestis. About 55 Euro per night.

BERNADINU B & B Bernardinu str. 5. About 49-55 Euro per night.

Or the following apartments:

vilnius apartments/euapartments.lt - 50-65 Euro
Anre guesthouse - 55 Euro
Angelika's apartments
Eldorado apartments
Vilnius heart apartments

Thanks again

Hi! Actually room rates are so sensitive to the season. In my expirience I prefer Hotel Comfort Vilnius. It's close to the city centre, clean, friendly and not expencive (we paid €45 per double per night in May)

By the way, if you book Uniquestay do it on the booking.com website price is better than the hotels I believe.

Some years ago i stayed at the Hotel Uzupio which is now renamed the Hotel Paupio. Website here.

http://hotel.paupio.lt/

I found it to be good and a lok at the website shows it to be in your price range. My tip on it is here.

I get better prices at http://tripter.com
You mention the Florens B&B for 55Euros and they advertise it frim 35 Euros http://en.tripter.com/hotels/Lithuania/Vilnius/B&B-Florens/26518/h/ On that site for less than 55 you get the Florens boutique which seems great. Anyway You might want to check it out as they have a lot of reviews of the hotels on this site along with guides and a map locating all the hotels they have. They seem to also have the Eldorado apartments, and the IN ASTRA but the Florens seems to get best reviews. Hope this helps....
