You might be lucky to find a Taxi in Pokhara who will take you to Nagarkot but I am very doubtful, because the journey will take atleast 10hours maybe longer and the driver will need somewhere to stay for the night because most drivers don't drive in the night because there are no lights on the roads and they very dangerous to drive on. Not only that but your fare will be very expensive.

Your best bet is to take the usual bus to Kathmandu and stay the night and travel over to Nagarkot the next day and stay one night to watch the Sunset & Sunrise. much cheaper.

Nagarkot is pretty much sitting on the view point just stay at any of the hotels there and you will get great views.

Personally I think that Nagrokot is overrated as an Everest viewpoint – IF you have a really good sunrise then you can see it – just – a small dot amongst many other small dots on the distant horizon !!
However it is a nice place to go and spend a night to get away form the hustle, bustle and pollution of Kathmandu.
Best views of Everest without trekking are Definitely from the Buddha Air Mountain flight – Lots of pics on the things to do tips section on my Nepal pages that I took from the window !!
You could get a taxi direct from Pokhara, my gust would be around about $100 – there are several viewpoints along the ridge which the village is built on and the taxi can get you more or less right to it.
However, Don’t miss Sarangkot when you are in Pokhara – IMHO that is a much better viewpoint – OK No Everest but great views of the Annapurna’s and Fishtail :-)
Good Luck
Rob

No need to feel foolish – Names of places that you have not yet visited are often confusing !!
To your original question
Usually taxis drop you off at the Sarangkot village barrier – from there it is a Good 1/2 hours fast walking to the summit proper and the best viewpoint – so if you are heading up there for sunrise facto this in !!
A taxi should cost you around $10 / $15
Good Luck and Enjoy

Why take a taxi when you can walk around the beautiful blue lake then up the hill. When you get up in the morning for the Sunrise and see the Annapurna Range you can say to yourself that was worth the hike then you can walk back down back Pokhara again, far more enjoyable.
