Las Vegas General Vegas advice

Hi everyone, me again.

I have moved my vegas trip forward to October 2nd so am very much looking forward to it, 17 weeks to go til the day :) Everything is now in place I have sorted out my accommodation with PH, 2 free nights and the remaining at a special rate. I will be travelling on my own so will be making good use of the hotel and the strip. So if anyone has any general advice on places to go things to do, nightlife etc. then I would be most appreciated. I hope everyone that is going to Vegas this year has a great time and maybe see some of you guys there in October, have fun and stay lucky!!

If you're going to do any gambling at all, be sure to sign up for the casino's loyalty card - even a little will give you something offset your bill!

Ask for an upgrade, you might get lucky! I once got the premier suite (1,050 square foot apartment) at Luxor for $70 USD per weeknight, you never know. Bars are plentiful as are nightclubs but many (nightclubs) have a high cover charge unless you're staying at their hotel in which case you just show your room key and it gets you in free. As far as drinking, its much cheaper to buy some liquor/beer from a supermarket or local beer mart and keep it in your room. Normally you can just walk in with it, no need to sneak it into your hotel, many people do this.

You being a single male traveler...Hard Rock Hotel might tickle your fancy! The casino, bars, pool, etc. They have wild pool parties every Friday that are worth checking out. Gambling and entertainment shows are the essence of Las Vegas along with alcohol and women (or men...if women are reading!) assuming you're single. Check out in advance who might be performing in Vegas that weekend and book some tickets in advance or catch any regular show once there.

What happens in Vegas...stays in Vegas!

You're coming at the best time of year weather wise mid 80's everyone that lives here can't wait for Oct.You can walk from one end of the strip to the end without the heat killing you.The Hard Rock is a good choice to check out just finished a 750 million remodel even though I hav'nt been there since they opened about 15 years ago.The City Center might be opening by Oct check that out if its open its across the street from PH.10 Billion project.I would also ask for a upgrade but you are already getting 2 nights free so can't really expect much more but a strip view would be nice.I hav'nt been to one but I would check out the topless pools thats the new thing at the hotels I don't know if PH has one or not but you can google them.I hav'nt been on the strip in at least 5 years so I don't know much about night life but theres plenty to do every hotel has a club and all have gambling.I hope you're one of the few that get out of town with more $$$$$ than you came with.

Nightlife! gotta love the palms. good for the 21-30 crowd. dress nice and you'll be fine, don't go too late. see if you can make friends with your neighbors at the hotel as well, that could be fun. Try Rain for dancing, Ghostbar for a little more of a relaxed feel. Hope this helps. Site for the clubs-- http://n9negroup.com/newhome/index.cfm.

PH is good - you'll like that

go to the Bellagio and watch the water fountains blast (free)- a great restaurant in the back (waterfountain wall when you walk in) great bar there with yummy Moheetos

go to the Wynn and go downstairs and watch the lake theatre every 30 minutes - its outrageous - something different every time (free - the drinks are expensive)

go to old downtown and gamble at the Golden Nuggett and Benions - lower priced tables and a lot of fun - there is a steak house on top of Benions - a great throwback steakhouse - go at sundown and watch the sun go over the mountain and the lights come on in the valley

go see The Beatles at the Mirage - awesome
and also The Jersey Boys

good luck!
