going over to surfers paradise next week (for a week's holiday) and wondering how's the H1N1 flu virus situation over there ... thanks to advise.

It's quite minimal in Surfers as far as I have heard...!!??..Melbourne/Victoria is the place to catch the flu with so many confirmed cases...!!...

We were at the Gold Coast for three days last weekend and saw no signs of people with masks etc. No panic in the papers. Of course the situation can change quickly.
Were at Brisbane airport today and our friends who came in from overseas only had to sign a paper to say they were well...no temp taking.

Keep your immune system in good shape...dont hug and kiss people "willy nilly", have a mask on hand and watch for alerts.

Remember th main worry seems to be with those whose health is compromised and with the fear the virus will mutate. Marg
