Madrid Socibus Station to Madrid Airport; Transportation Options
Posted: Wed June 3, 2009 10:02 AM UTC
Question: If one takes 8:00 Socibus from Cordoba which reaches Madrid at 12:45, is it possible to make it for Madrid Airport to take 16:00 onwards easyjet flight? How punctual are these buses? What are the transportation options from Socibus Station and Madrid Airport?

Thanks in advance

AVE (High velocity train) takes 1h50' from Cordoba to Madrid. You can check the AVE schedule at www.renfe.es
It is more expensive than the bus, but better than missing your flight in case there is a delay or the train/metro connections are a bit slow. I saw some postings about the transport to the airport a few days ago, check the Madrid forum.

you will have no problems from the bus to the airport, plenty of time. buses are pretty puntuals, and Estacion Sur is near Atocha and metro Atocha Renfe or Mendez Alvaro, you can take a cercanias train to Nuevos Ministerios and line 8 metro will take you to airport, OR you can go in the metro all the way from Mendez Alvaro line 6 circular direction ave America to Nuevos Ministerios then line 8 to airport.
