Hi All,

I'm going to be in Chicago next weekend....wondering what the small/medium sized alternative rock bars are these days? Might want to catch a show but other than the Double Door...or Metro (not even sure if those are still around) I'm not sure which clubs to checkout for new music.

Any ideas?

Thanks much.

I don't go to a lot of live shows anymore so I'm not going to be much help but I'll point you to one of the better resources for live shows which you can search by date and category of music. Double Door and Metro are still around, you might also check the Aragon Ballroom and Riveria which have more alternative rock shows, Park West and House of Blues are nicer clubs (ie your feet don't stick to the floor and the health dept doesn't need to be called to inspect the washrooms)that have a variety of acts plus there are a lot of smaller clubs.
