Hi Basque Country experts:
I'll be rolling into Irun (from Paris) early in the evening---say 6:45 or so-- on a Saturday in mid-July. Will I be screwed for finding accoms for the night on short notice? I'm hoping for a bed in the pilgrim's refugio as Irun is the starting point for my Santiago walk, but barring that a cheapo hotel room would serve. The place doesn't look like a major tourist magnet, but I've been buggered by trade fairs and academic conferences elsewhere on past occaisions.
Any thoughts?

Thanks. That list is for apartments and agriturismos. I just need a place to put my head down for a few hours and be off before first light the next morning.

Irun on the N1 is a transit point between France and Spain, and mid July is the start of the French/Spanish vacation period,so unless you can sleep anywhere, you would do good to reserve in advance.
it is touristic, many shops around the roundpoint as you enter by car is full of gadget stores, cheaper in Spain than France, even gas ::)
