Can you reccommend a nice hotel for a two night stay before taking a Princess Cruise?

São Paulo city is not a port. I believe your cruiser will dock in Santos/SP.
Santos is a big city and many hotels are there:

* Parque Balneario; Av Ana Costa, 555

* Mendes Plaza; Av Floriano Peixoto, 42

There are some interesting bathing resorts in Guarujá(wath the linked map ).
The beaches from Guarujá are much better than Santos.

You may find dozens bus trips from São Paulo to Santos at Jabaquara subway station.
