Bus or taxi from Amman Airport to Petra

My flight from Europe arrives in Amman around 0200 in the morning. Is it possible to get a mini-bus or a taxi from the airport to Petra at that time? Any recommendations on a mini-bus company at the airport or must I go into Amman city centre? Also, is there a money exchange open 24 hours at the airport?

You won't get a mini-bus at that time of the morning and a taxi will cost you at least 60JL. Your best bet is to stay at a hotel in Madaba or Amman for the night and leave early next morning for Petra. Madaba is closer and some hotels offer a transer service for about 14JL, considerably less than a transfer orthe taxi fare in to Amman, but you then need to go in to Amman in the morning to catch the bus to Petra.
