i' d like to know if is possible to cross the border from al qamishli to mardin, turkey.
i ll visit syria from 1 july and plan to go to palmyra and then to qamishli.
is there any bus or train from palmyra or damascus to qamishli?
is qamishli a safe place ?
how long it takes from damascus to palmyra and how much?

I am planing to take this route. LP states that it is very easy. Syrian boarder are less than 1 Km from Qamishli center and once you cross to turkey you walk to Nusseben and from there take a bus 3 Euro to Madrin. Planing to that in the last week of September to Avoid the Heat.

hi

there is bus and train from Damascus to Qamshili . but if you want from Palmyra you must go to Homs and from there can take the train to Qamshili Via Aleppo .
generally the tour take about 5-6 hours .

Yes I traveled quite frequently to Syria but never to Qamishli.
