We are traveling to chicago on metra train to ogilvie train station. Wondering how to find a trolley that goes to Lincoln Park Zoo. Or should be get in a Taxi? There is 4 of us going. 2 children.

You could walk from the Ogilvie Train Station to Union Station and then catch the 151 Bus which has a stop at the Lincoln Park Zoo. The website for that route is at http://www.transitchicago.com/assets/1/bus_schedules/151.pdf.

A cab ride I estimate would be about $10 including tip for the 2.6 mile trip broken down as follows: $2.25 basic fare + $1.00 (extra adult) + .20 cents per 1/9th of a mile. The kids under 12 are free.

There is no longer a Chicago Trolley service and the "El" trains aren't all that close to the zoo. Hope that helps.
