I just read a very interesting tip by Sissi (Kakapo2) about the Oberbaumbrücke in Berlin. The closest S-Bahn stop is Schlesisches Tor. How far is it to walk from there?
I should have read her page earlier, as I'm leaving tonight, but maybe I'm lucky and someone from Berlin can answer my question. I'm going with my mother and she has problems walking. Thanks in advance. |

Oberbaumbrücke is directly (= 200 meters)at Schlesisches Tor. But it is not a "S - Bahn-station" , it is a station of the " U- Bahn" (= U 1 )

Roughly 300 meters.
If you are going to cross Oberbaumbrücke, coming from Kreuzberg (Schlesisches Tor), it's best to proceed and head to Warschauer Straße (S-Bahn + subway). Or vice versa of course. The two stations are more or less situated at the opposing ends of Oberbaumbrücke.
