What is the best hostel for location and price? Nothing fancy, just clean and quiet (enough).

take a look at the Normafa - its on the Buda Hills in a lovely location - is clean - staff friendly- reasonablt priced - on a good bus route into th ecentre ( moskva ter) where you can access all of budapest transport and walking wise - the location of the hotel is stunning and made for good walking ( if thats your thing) and it has a swimming pool and wellness centre

Hi,

I'd recommend staying on the Pest side as most of the attractions are on this side.The hotels I'd recommend are the Promenade City Hotel on Vaci Utca or the Boutique Hotel Zara.Both are around 80 euros per night for a double

My apartment is available in June, July, August. The american students renting it are home for the summer. It is downtown, walking distance from lots of places, three rooms... Let me know if you are intrested.

Thanks Horcescu. While your offer sounds great, I will not be going to Hungary during the summer.

We booked an apartment through the budapesting website and it seems to be a good deal even compared to hostel prices. I think you should look for apartment rentals also, as Budapest has a lot to offer.
