Ephesus Bus travel from Ayvalik to Kusadasi and Ephesus
Posted: Thu May 28, 2009 07:13 PM UTC
I am trying to get from Lesvos to Epehesus in the shortes amount of time around Sept.14. If I take the ferry to Ayvalik is there a good bus schedule from there to Kusadasi so that I can spend a day or two in Ephesus and then reverse the trip? Thanks for your help

Dont worry there is every half an hour bus to Izmir from Ayvalik. There are many bus offices in Ayvalik route to various parts of Turkey. Please ask one of them which bus company goes to Selcuk. Selcuk is the town of Ephesus. The antic ruins of old Roman town Ephesus is only 8 kms away from Selcuk. You can overnight at Selcuk. In Selcuk you can also visit the grave and chuch of St John who cared Mother Mary after cruxificitaion of Jesus Cristus and brought her to Ephesus. Dont forget to visit the Home of Mother mary on top of a beautiful mountain the Bulbul Dagh the Nigtingale Hill.

If there is no direct bus to Delcuk from Ayvalik you can take the bus to Izmir where you change the bus to Selcuk. There are many busses every hour. Have a nice trip.

Hi,

I am wanting to travel from Fethiye to Ayvalik via Ephesus. Could you please advise the name of the bus company you refer to that runs between Selcuk and Ayvalik? Also, is it possible to get a bus from Fethiye to Selcuk?

Many thanks

There is a very good bus connection system in Turkey. There are many local and intercity bus companies in Fethiye. Plese ask your questin in fethiye to a clerck of bus office. he will give you best answer.

PS. a personal question: Are you a son of Rum family from Megri(Fethiye)
