My girlfriend is headed to Chicago this weekend to see Nine Inch Nails. Can anyone suggest their favorite bar or restaurant that she can check out? This is her first trip there, so what are some things she can try to squeeze in?

If she wants more live music, she can try the Abbey Pub. There are a lot of good bars in Chicago though. It depends on where she's staying.
If it's her first trip, then she should definitely eat some pizza. It depends on where she's staying and whether or not she has a car, but, if she's Downtown and has no ride, there's a Giordano's location on Michigan that's also open fairly late.

Do you know where she'll be staying? Chicago has so many diverse neighborhoods, each with its own "Best of.." Let me know where she'll be and I'll see if I can help

She isnt sure yet where she is staying. Either by Soldier's Field or downtown. (is this both downtown?) Thanks!

Since the concert is at Northerly Island which is near Soldier Field she will be staying more on the south end of downtown or about 1800 South which is about 2 1/4 miles from the heart of downtown. If she likes Chinese food she won't be too far from Chinatown which is 2200 South and a little further west from the Soldier Field area. There is more of a restaurant selection if she heads to the north side of town or around 400 North which is about 3 miles from where the concert will be. There will be more clubs in that area as well. Check out the Rush Street area.
