Alicante Travel Forum

Hi. It would be so great to hear anyones experiences of gran alacant. It is about 15 mins drive south of the airport. Can you walk to the beach? Does it have some shops? Is it in the flight path? Does it have some culture? We have a j month year old and thinking of going there in October. Thank you so much for any comments. Rob.

Not on the flightpath to Alicante airport.

Gran Alacant is on top of al hill, some 100 high. Not a good place to walk to the beach, unless you go to the area of Clot de Galvany, in the northern part (in this case, be careful with mosquitoes). Some of the houses are more than 3 km from the beach and you will have to walk up and down.
There are some shops and supermarkets.
No problem with the planes, the flight path is near Urbanova.
Culture? I you mean theater, museums, etc, you must go to Alicante or Elche.
