Can someone tell me whats the easiest way to go from Hollywood Blvd to Wilshire Blvd? Isn't there public transport, and if cab is the only means, how much would it cost me approximately?
Thank you.

It is worth while studying the bus maps on:

of course a taxi is convenient. Wilshire is a very long Blvd.

This is cake....so easy.

from Hollywood/Vine or Hollywood/Highland jump on the MetroRapid720. Red bus, runs express. So for $1.25, you stop at only a handful of intersections before you are let off at Wilshire and Fairfax. Directly across from the Petersen Automotive Museum and LACMA.

If you're running late hours(after 8pm), the 217 runs the same route with more stops.

Skip the cab. It's not worth it. the 720 hauls azz.

I would recommend taking the metro. You can pick up the red line at hollywood and highland, hollywood and vine, or hollywood and western. It takes you to wilshire and vermont. If you need to go further west on wilshire, exit here and transfer to the purple line (which is on the same platform). It will take you all the way to wilshire and western. for more information about the LA metro visit http://www.metro.net/index.asp
for maps visit
http://www.metro.net/riding_metro/maps/default.htm

You buy a single ticket for $1.25 or a day pass for $5 at vending machines at the entrance of the metro. Do not cross the turnstile until you have your ticket.
