I am looking for a decent, inexpensive and safe hotel accommodation for family near or in Little India. Can somebody suggest a few hotels?

i would suggest the newly opened ibis hotel. it is located at the bencoolen street near to the bugis district and the little india district.

a couple of my friends have stayed in that hotel before and they shares good comments about that hotel. also, they booked their rooms via the internet at a special pricing!

also, you only need to pay another $15++ to enjoy a wide spread of breakfast.

according to my friends, the ibis hotel actually has a restaurant inside it named 'it's all about taste' restaurant. the restaurant actually features 20 singapore local delights served in sampler portions. thus, you can savour 3, 4 or 5 dishes at a go!

a short introduction on bugis, you might want to explore the area as it is considered a arts and cultural district of singapore. the ibis hotel itself is surrounded by major art schools, temples, national library and various shopping malls such as the bugis junction and the newly opened shopping mall iluma. also, there is this bugis village whereby you can find bargains and affordable buys!

I stayed at the Broadway hotel in Little India and I would suggest you NOT stay there. It is a dirty run down hotel. My room had cockroaches. It was the worst hotel experience ever!!
Avoid it at all costs!!
