Montreal 2-3 days tour in Montreal and Quebec City?
Posted: Tue May 26, 2009 09:27 AM UTC
Hi all,

My partner and I are going to visit my family in Toronto in September.
I've been to Canada several times and it's his first time, so we wanted to visit Montreal and Quebec city, too.

Are there any guided tours to Quebec, about 3 nights, departuring from Toronto?
Can you recommend something?
We want to visit Montreal and Quebec City, so anything that covers both cities would be okay.

Thanks you all in advance! :-)

Hi Olga,

Quebec City, and Montreal, are two beautiful places that are best explored by foot. September is a great time to visit because the weather is nice and it is much less touristy.

From Toronto, you can catch a train direct to Montreal and then to Quebec City. You can consult this site for train schedule and fares (www.viarail.ca)

Here you will find a list of different guided tours in Montreal (http://www.frommers.com/destinations/montreal/0018010019.html)

For Quebec City, I strongly suggest you simply walk around and explore the Old town at your leisure and take advantage of the numerous fine shop, cafés and restaurants.

If you insist on a guided tour from Toronto, you can look up this site: http://www.canadarailtours.com/torontorailroadvacation/toronto-rrt1.html, but I think you will do better and cheaper if you make your own arrangements.

If you need tips for hotels and such, let me know.
