Can I find/buy the CityPass away from the participating CityPass attractions? From the airport we will go to Powell Street Bart Station and then we have to take a bus to the hotel before take another bus for the first attraction so it would be nice to take advantage of the free ride that the CityPass gives you.

If you are going to the Powell Street Station, you will find the SFO visitors bureau located right there. You can buy your pass from them, as you come out of the station, just turn to your left and you will see the visitors bureau.

hi Mindcrime. My mother used to live in Nea Iraklion, not far from the stadium, but since she has moved to Oropos (a suburb). May I recommend Roxanne, on the corner of Powell and Bush? Excellent breakfast and lunch. Also, down by the Pacific Ocean (Ocean Beach), take the N/Judah line to the end. Eat, and check email, at Java Beach restaurant. Then cross the nearby Pacific Coast Highway to see the endless Pacific Ocean. You may see dogs catching Frisbees, and real-life surfer dudes!

It's funny but I am one of the few people that have a page about Oropos here on VT! :) There are some more but they have used wrong Oropos link (it happens on VT sometimes, the people dont check the map first).

MC, I've just viewed your Oropos photos; stunning! How did that water clock work? How far is Oropos from Athens? say, don't forget to rent a bike {$25/day, 3 years ago}, near Fisherman's Wharf, and bike [west] along the Bay to Golden Gate Bridge. Stop off at The Warm Hut for a snack and souvenirs. You can even bike across the GGB. Take the ferry, at Fisherman's Wharf, next to the Musee Mechanique, to Alcatraz. I found it fascinating.

Oropos is about 45' from Athens by car but you need 10' more to Kalamos village where the Oracle is/was/whatever :)
