What is the best option to get from the airport to Canal Street near Bourbon Street ?

I lived there for years, and frequently took a cab from the airport to my apartment in N.O. It's pretty reasonable. They are lined up at the curb outside of baggage claim.

I recommend taking a shuttle bus (group) or taxi (solo). You do not need a rental car to go around the French Quarters or down St. Charles. Walk everywhere and if you cannot take it anymore, get a taxi.

Taxis don't cost that much in NoLa and the ride to downtown isn't all that far. It's not like going from JFK to Manhattan. We were there without a car and did fine getting around. The trolley will take you out to the Garden District.. fun place to walk through with all those cemeteries!

If you are solo the shuttle is the best option. They do hotel drop offs for about $15. The cab will be about double that. Enjoy ;)

Where is the shuttle bus located...is it easy to find ..any detail will help..i'm all about saving $$$$$

The shuttles are all outside the baggage claim downstairs- follow transportation signs. It very easy to see. The are little kiosk stands to buy the ticket.
