Disney World, hands-down. While California was the original, World in Florida is much larger, prettier, and has more to do. You can stay in the park, and travel by tram.

Definitely Disney World! So many Disney and Universal parks in Orlando. Watch the Thanksgiving weekend though (Nov. 26-29) because it will be very crowded. Since you'd be there for a couple of weeks I'd make other plans for that weekend.

Personally I would consider the summer humidity in florida when deciding. Disneyland now has added a second park, California adventure and you can buy a ticket that is good for both. They are next to each other and Knotts Berry Farm is close as well as the beach. Its usually very nice here in the summer.

I am from Southern California and I have been to Orlando - Walt Disney World area during November - December. November is still Hurricane season and it was cold down where Epcot Center/WDW is.
I must say Southern California is gorgeous in November and December.
Hope this helps.

Withour doubt: Orlando, because of the different parks and water parks. Epcot is a bit droll, but Animal Kingdom and the Hollywood studios are great. There is so much to do that you probably will get a Disney indigestion after 3 days. At least, that's what happened to me :-)
Of course, when choosing Disneyland CA you can recover from this indigestion by visiting the area or going to the mountains (Big Bear lake for instance). The WDW area around Kissimmee is nothing but theme- and attraction parks, however, Kennedy Space Center is a must.

Disneyworld hands down, We have been to Disneyworld twice, 2005 & 2008 in December & found the weather to be great.
Also as you are there for an extended period I advise as a MUST DO that you reserve a day & visit Busch Gardens in Tampa & do the Sundowner Safari

It was the most incredible experience that I have ever done & the Kids had an absolute ball
Plus I can highly recommend Universal Islands of Adventure, also in Orlando
Hope you have a great time

In reply to the comments about the humidity in Florida, November to December is normally a low humidity time. Hurricane season ends on November 30, it is rare that a hurricane affects Florida in November. (The water temperature in the Gulf of Mexico has normally decreased by November, so that storms cannot get energy from the heat of the Gulf waters to be sustained.)
There are plenty of things to see and do in and around Disney World and a drive of one to two hours can take you either the Atlantic coast beaches or the Gulf Coast Beaches.

Disney World Orlando has more to do with the variety of parks: MAgic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and the Marketplace. The water parks depending on thhe weather are a nice diversion.
