Hi,
I'm trying to get to St Malo from London (by Monday 25th afternoon)and the flights to Dinard are sold out.
I could fly from London City airport to Nantes arriving 20.30h on Sunday.

*Anyone know if I could then travel on from Nantes Aeorport to St Malo at this time of evening, or would it be too late?

*Any ideas on how long it would take to do this on Monday morning?

Obviously I'd like as few changes as possible! My end destination is a hotel near the spa.

Reading other replies, I went to the travel website mentioned but couldn't figure it out - i THINK it was saying no direct trains, have to change in Rennes.

You won't do it on a Sunday night as the last train from Nantes to St Malo leaves at 1918.

The following Monday morning there are trains at 0725 and 0920, arriving in St Malo at 1010 and 1258 respectively. And yes, you change at Rennes. The first departure has a 1 hour 9 minutes wait in Rennes; the second one a wait of 1 hr 23 minutes.

The next one after those is not until 1231.

One-way fare is around 30 Euros.

The last train from Nantes to St Malo on Sundays leave at 19:18, so you will arrive too late.

By train it takes about 3 hours from Nantes to St Malo with a change at Rennes.

Thank you, that was super helpful, especially as I've just this minute been on the SNCF journey planner and drawn a complete blank for Rennes to Saint Malo! Goodness knows what I was doing wrong!

Wow, that's a real breakthrough for me, thank you so much! I had seen on the Dinard website that they flew from Guernsey but it never occured to me there was a Gatwick connection! The flights are available and affordable and I SO APPRECIATE YOU LETTING ME KNOW!!!

Yhe best site for finding train connection all over Europe is German Rail (DB) website (it will only give you fares and let you book when travel starts/ends in Germany):
