Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Brisbane Air Train
Posted: Wed May 20, 2009 12:47 AM UTC
Hi there!

I am trying to book tansportation from brisbane Airport to a hotel in Surfers Paradise called Courtyard by Marrioot. I think the nearest station is one called Nerang. Does anyone have any idea how far away that station is from Surfers Paradise Blvd & Corner Hanlan Streets?

Other question is: has anyone used a shuttle service called Con-X-ion from Brisname Airport and were they any good?

Thanks very much in advance :o)

Local buses meet all the trains coming into Nerang and will take you to Surfers Paradise. The Marriott Hotel is very central so there is bound to be a bus stop somewhere near to it. Just ask the driver. The Shuttle buses from Brisbane airport are certainly good but unfortunately, quite expensive. The last Air train from the Airport to the Gold Coast is at 10pm, you will need to check if the buses from the station at Nerang still run to meet the last train. I would think so. Timetables for Surfside Buses here:

Please note that where it says "Depart Central Station" that is one of the City stops where the Air Train goes through from the Airport, you would board the train at the Airport sometime before that. As you will see however, the trains are quite regular and you can always ask somebody if you are unsure. We don't bite here in Brisbane, in fact we quite like being asked for directions. Enjoy the Gold Coast

Just to simplify matters, the Bus Route number you will need when you get to Nerang is the #745. Be sure to get on the right one as there are bound to be quite a few buses at the station, all going in different directions.

The Con-X-ion bus will take you all the way from Brisbane airport to your hotel
Have used this bus many times and it's the best way to go from air port to hotel
