Manila Pregnant Travel in Philippines
Posted: Tue May 19, 2009 08:43 PM UTC
Well things have changed since my last post on here. I am now having to deal with an additional traveler (though not arrived yet). Instead of driving the Northern Luzone loop we are now discussing plans to fly from Tuguegarao back to Manila. I have searched and found that PAL will allow a women to fly up to 35 weeks with a doctors release. I need to know if anyone has any information on Cebu Air. I have been to their website but can not find any information. My wife will be 29 weeks pregnant when we get there and 33 weeks when we plan to leave to come back to work.
Also if anyone can advise me on the price and schedules of buses to Ballesteros from Manila. We will be arriving in Manila at 0855. If up to it we would like to depart the next night heading north. Also the price of a bus from Ballesterous back to Tuguegarao.
Other possibility would be an A/C van rental with driver to get us to Ballesterous. Prices anyone??

I think they will with OB Gyne's release. It's quite risky to be flying though at 33 weeks isn't it?

We will be seeing the doctor until we travel on a regular basis. Most airlines have no problems until week 35. We have already informed the doctor of our travel dates. The doctor said it should pose no problems. First birth was natural with no comps. Same doctor so we are hoping she will guide us in the right direction. We can not post pone this trip due to it is the wedding of my best friend to her best friend! Go figure!

I remember last year someone having a baby on PAL and they had to land in Japan I think it was and they were'nt happy it cost a lot to land a plane.Cebu Air just flys short flights so with a doc's ok you can fly, most airlines are about the same. That just seems close to delivering and is'nt it 2 or 3 weeks either way from the due date.Google how to deliver a baby and print it out just to be safe hehehehe
