Prague - Berlin by train roundtrip - rates and buying

Hello!

I would like to travel next Friday taking the 18:29 train from Hlavni Nadrazi to Berlin. I have been researching a lot and having confusing and sometimes contradictory information. Questions:

1) How much do you think such ticket would cost?
2) Cheaper if bought as roundtrip?
3) Cheaper if bought with a few days notice? I read 3 days will mean saving 50% but I think this is a strange thing. Anyway... I don't have 3 days anymore.

Looks like 60euro standard fare, but 29euro if bought 3 days in advance (on some trains?). AT this point, it is showing that price for trains starting saturday.

Have you considered going by bus? EUR 64/return.

Yes, I know Student Agency but I refuse to spend an awful night with no sleep, ruining my mood for the weekend. :-)

The link I posted is not Student Agency and the buses are not overnight buses.

Yes, you are totally right. I can't use them though, as my friend works and only be free after 16:00, while the bus departure is at 15:00. A pity.

You could buy special price on-line tickets for 28 EUR each way 3 days in advance, but just for some trains (not for the one you were mentioning).

Regular price one way Prague-Berlin is 51 EUR, return: 81 EUR, so it is cheaper.
