Nottingham Castle has a reasonable art gallery within it and super views! The Museum of Nottingham Life is very good - the entrance ticket to either also includes entrance to the other, if you see what I mean. Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem is a very old pub - not been there (will be able to tell you what it's like in a few weeks' time) but it has a website. There's a pubby/restauranty sort of place diagonally across from the Royal Concert Hall - can't remember what it is called but if you stand outside the Concert Hall, you will see it down the hill to you right - reasonable prices, not much atmosphere. There are any number of places on Forman Street (again, leads from Concert Hall) - Puncinello's does a good pre-theatre meal. Also Le Bistro Pierre. The Cast Restaurant at the Nottingham Playhouse also serves palatable food and does a good pre-theatre meal. Also, the Broadway Theatre does a reasonable meal and you can buy a cinema ticket plus meal for a reduced price. All these places have websites.
