Finland from Lappeenranta to Lahti on boat

Hello! May be someone had an experience of sailing in Finland lakes on private boat? Is there the way to get from Lappeenranta to Lahti on boat through lakes and rivers?

Ask the Finnish Tourist Board... I've heard that they get all kinds of questions on travel to Finland and look for the answers. They're job is to promote tourism to Finland. I cannot see any way to go by boat between these destinations, and even if there is a waterway between these two, it must be on a small boat and not any commercial line. Any destination you want to check in Finland the easiest is to type the city name .fi for example: www.lappeenranta.fi there will always be good info for travellers and usually in many languages.

Hi,
Unfortunately Lappeenranta and Lahti are not connected with a waterway. Lappeenranta is on the banks of Lake Saimaa and Lahti on the other hand is on the banks of Lake Pijnne. We have had for some decade on going debate for this connecting canal.
