Botswana Road Conditions

we are a group of 8 families driving from SA to Kasane. Can anyone give me an update on the road conditions between Nata and Kasane? Also what are the roads like in the Chobe reserve? Have the recent floods damaged the roads significantly?

Nata to Kasane are modern paved roads. Slow down before Nata as the animal control gates/checkpoints are not well marked. Only drive in daylight. I hit the gate at Nata and saw a small cow killed by a vehicle nearby.

Between Nata and Kasane there are sections of highway that are terribly potholed.

I have some pictures of those potholes, they go on for ever. Having said that my normal 2WD car was fine. The few trully deep ones are visible from a distance and the road is mostly straight.

It has to be a world record for potholes on one road for sure!
