Hello guys,

I am going to visit Singapore from 24-28 May. I finally decided to book Golden Landmark hotel from the Changi Airport as none of the travel agents in my country has channels to Golden Landmark. They can only book hotels which have agreement with Airlines.

The 4 nights charge of Golden Landmark Executive room is $485 USD (all inclusive) according to the hotels own website, (best available rate). My question is how much extra it might cost if booked from Airport? Do anyone have any idea? I can afford a maximum of $50 USD extra though I hope it wouldnt get to that much.

Any feedback on this is much appreciated.

it's not how much extra as [usually] the travel agent have remuneration from the hotel. The matter could be the rate you see at Hotel's website is not available from any agents as... the hotel has to pay remuneration to them.
this not always, but it may happen.

I believe any travel agent in the world who as Amadues/Galileo/Sabre could book that hotel, anyway you could book your rate at

the Golden Landmark is bookable, you do not need to pay on web, you'll pay at hotel once there, you could also cancel your resarvation and pay nothing if done 24/48 hours before you're supposed to arrive (but read carefully)
credit card is requested only in case you no show and you did not cancel your resevation so they make you pay one night. If you know you do not go, just cancel... with a click of mouse.
many times on venere or bookin.com have same rate the hotel want you pay on booking but with them you'll pay once there.

Thanks cgf. In my case unfortunately I dont have a credit card to book online. Thats why I plan to book from the Airport. Is it possible to call them (hotel booking agents in the changi airport) before arrival and know the rate for Golden Landmark hotel? As I mentioned before if the rate is not much higher than hotel's website rates then I will book from the airport.

I had a look at Golden Landmark hotel, probably a credit card will be asked for staying there once you check-in otherwise you have to deposit quite a lot of cash, you'd better check this first to the hotel concierge before you will have the surprise to stay 4 days in Singapore with not enough money as that deposit.
