Hi people,

I am a linguist and I will write my final thesis about the tsakonian dialect, which is spoken in Leonidio. I want to find tsakonian speakers for next summer!!!! It is really important! If somebody knows a man or a woman speaking that dialect, I really have to meet them! It is a shame to let this language die without any specific data on it...

Although I do not speak the dialect, I am afraid that you have to go down there, to Leonidio and the villages around it, and find old locals to get a real aspect of it. According to my encyclopedia, Tsakones today are less than 10,000 people and not all of them speak the dialect. Also, there is a difference between the "north idioma" and the "south idioma".
