Does anyone have any information on how to get from Montpellier to La Grau du Roi and then from there to Les Saintes Maries de la mer? Is there a bus service available?

Certainly look at the bus timetable on this page ---- the Number 106 goes to La Grau du Roi. But to get detailed times email the bus people for your day of travel : info@herault-transport.fr ?

There is a bus (106) from Montpellier to le Grau du Roi.

Thanks for the info. I checked a map which suggested there is a direct route from Grau du Roi to Saintes Maries by road (39km). I don't suppose you know if there is a bus service that runs this route? The alternative seems like such a long way of going that distance.

you have good advise, mine is to follow puerto_lover and send them an email for the info, they are the best that can answer your questions.
When I am in the area camping at grau I use my car, great town, Hemingway honeymoon there ::)

If you are in Le Grau du Roi in either July or August, there are two daily direct buses to Sts. Maries de la Mer at 10h40 and 14h35:
http://www.saintesmaries.com/pdf/cars_montpellier.pdf September through June the longer route is the only way to travel between the two locations.
