Hi

I'm thinking of meeting up with a friend who will be in Prague as part of his Eastern Europe travels during July.

Looking for flights, I can only find a connection direct from Madrid for 60€ (wizzair.com), though would prefer to fly from Barcelona (as I will be just leaving a festival there at the time).

Any ideas? And is that price from Madrid reasonable? I've never used wizzair before and don't know what to expect from them.

Also, of the 2 different airports, are either of them particularly far from the centre of things? Just to get an idea of my travel costs and times etc. since I'll only be there for 2 days.

Oh, and cheap hostel prices... have tried to get an idea from other threads but can't find a figure. any guidelines? cheap (and probably central) is the most important factor.

There are very few tickets for July left from Madrid (sold out from Barcelona) on www.click4sky.com for 96 EUR.

Generally, cheap tickets are sold out much earlier, so do not expect to get really cheap prices. Usually best prices are when you fly during weekdays.

Wizzair is likely to have best prices to Prague as they just opened flights there. www.smartwings.com also fly from Madrid and Barcelona. From Barcelona you can try www.clickair.com.

Thankyou very much for the info! I will be travelling both ways on weekdays, though it seems it would have to be from Madrid now if I do.

Any ideas of what I can expect regarding hostal prices?
