Hi
Maybe my replies are so late but I wish you can enjoy your short stopover!
1. Booking a guesthouse
: my suggestion is that you would book a guesthous near Hong-ik Univ.
Because you can enjoy night time in the bars
2. Tour bus
: you can ride on Night Tour bus, please refer airport information :-)
3. Food Korean
most common korean food for you is now Cold noodle korean name Naeng-Myun
you can enjoy noodle with cold soup or noodle with pepper paste,
actually I recommend cold noodle with soup.
or pork belly ( samkyupsal ) and korean liquor Soju.
For beer, we love to enjoy beer with fried chicken
4. bars
I am not a bar goer, but bars near Hongik Univ.are famouse for night time.
or Itaewon subwaystation is alternative place for English speakers.
5. place to go
Politically we face a complecated situation here in Korea
So I think join the DMZ tour is nice....also refer information center in
Airport.
Seoul,Capital city of Korea is merely 50km far from DMZ.
But we koreans are ignorant of North Korean army ( So ridiculous ? )
6. temperature
maybe around 30 celcious degree, high humidity, also need UV cream !

Hi fellow Pinay,
Here are the things I did when I went to Seoul. Since you only have two days, I suggest you visit one of the palaces (I visited Gyeongbukgung) and then the open-air market, Namdaemun, for shopping of virtually everything under the sun. For high-end shopping, try Myeongdong.

You could hang out with some tourists in Itaewon, that's tourist area.
Here is the hotel I stayed at http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/7f095/10267a/
Enjoy!!
It's nice to eat dinner at Nolboo Restaurant for that authentic Korean dining experience.
