Hello Vters.

I'm a 23 year old Romanian planning a visit to Lebanon and I'm travelling alone. I called the local embassy and I was told I can receive the vis aat the airport and all I need is to give the address of the family/hotel i'll be staying at.

Is this true? I want to double check before wasting 500 euros on the plane ticket.

You can get the visa on the Airport as well as on the landborder (Transit visa is free and allows 48 hour, touristvisa for 30 day´s was in december around € 20).

1 month visas are free (and have been for some time) for those natonals that qualify - Romanians do, so you'll get a 1 month visa free (actually it's only a passport stamp)

Well .. it depends on how long you want to stay. If you want to stay 6 months, then the 1 month on arrival obviously won't do.

The easiest way to know if you need a visa or not and to safe time and money, I would advise you to call the Romanian Embassy In Lebanon.

So look up the Romanian Embassy In Lebanon and call them or email them and they will for sure have the most acurate answer.

You will need the 6 month Visa, so pay the money and get the visa, and then after you Enter the country and actually get the ID in Hand then after that all your future travels will be Visa Free.

I had already called the embassy and was told I can buy it upon landing in Lebanon but I was asking to be sure and to know if anyone had any recent unpleasant experience...:)
