Hi,
I will be on holiday in Syria at the beginning of July. Afterwards I need to travel from Aleppo and get to Fethiye.
I have a number of guide books and have looked up some bus companies and have come up with very little information.
Can anybody advise the best way? Is it better to travel to Antakya/ Adana or Gaziantep first? From these places can I get a direct bus to Fethiye?
If anybody has any advice I would much appreciate it. If people know of bus companies that serve these routes I would appreciate if you let me know. Any ideas of timetables or rough journey times would be excellent too!Any information at all would be really helpful!!!

I did Antakia to Aleppo by bus last december. In Aleppo theay did still use the old Terminal (Sh al Maari, close to Baron Hotel), but at that time the new terminal was only half finished. In Antakia it left from the new terminal (free shuttle to the old, good conections to the rest of Turkey). At the boerder they have now a separate lane for trucks, it was quite fast for crossing.

Many thanks for the reply. What time of day do you advise to leave Aleppo to cross over to Turkey? I have read in guidebooks to set off before 8am as the roads are not as busy. Do you think it makes any difference.
Do you have any idea of what buses go to where from Antakya? Would you be aware of any buses that go Antakya to Antalya?

The bus from Antakia to Aleppo was leavinga little after 8am, itīs probably similar from Aleppo. I didnīt look for buses from Antakia to Antalia, but if you donīt see a convenient departure time, then take the next bus to Adana, there should be good connections from there.
