We are taking a cruise which stops in St. Lucia....any suggestions for a nice day, where we don't have to be shuffled around by tour guides etc...? Any suggestions on how to best spend our time would be appreciated.

All of the cruise ports in the Caribbean that we stopped at had taxis waiting at the docks, you can arrange for a tour with one of them, agree on the price before you get in. We had our driver take us to the volcano and then to a cove where we did some snorkeling. You might check the boards at cruisecritic.com for some suggestions about pre arranged tour guides or how to plan an independent day in the ports you are stopping in.
