Re: august Posted: Wed May 13, 2009 01:51 PM UTC
Long term forecast for Prague is not possible. Usually it is quite hot (+25 to 30 C), but it can be +20 and rainy as well. Weather variations are often here - it can be different weather each 4-5 days.
"and how precisely can i get from prague to kutna hora" - by entering Kutna Hora in Search window on the top of the screen. Then click on Transportation tips. 27 people did write tips about travel to Kutna Hora. Also in Prague tips page will be described some day trips to KH.....

Re: august Posted: Wed May 13, 2009 03:01 PM UTC
I wrote up directions when we visited last summer, see the link below. When we got to the train station, we just followed the other people who were there visiting, I think there were also directional signs on the pavement and on signs. But it was really easy to find. Double check the train times, they may have changed from last summer.

Why do you think you have to change transportation? The train we took was direct from Prague. If you want to go to the city of Kutna Hora, ask at the bone church about how to get there, we walked and it was a bit of a hike. Don't try to walk without a map.
And don't worry about the language barrier, you will not have a hard time finding people who speak fluent English.

Agree with Dabs....Prague is a very tourist-popular city, and therefore people are well-used to dealing with those who do not speak Czech.
For a rough idea of August climate in Prague look here;
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/world/city_guides/results.shtml?tt=TT003480
But no-one can predict the weather with certainty so far in advance. Better to check the weather forecast a week or so before you come, using a site such as:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/55
Plenty more sites if you google.
This page has very useful info about how to get to Kutna Hora from Prague:
http://www.myczechrepublic.com/prague/sightseeing/day_trips.html
with links to train and bus schedules (in English).

Kutna Hora is an hour from Prague by train(direct).You should have no difficulty with language when buying your ticket but if youre worried then write it on a piece of paper and show it to the ticket clerk. There is a map on the wall of Kutna Hora station just before the exit showing the location of the Bone Church but its easy to find anyway. Turn right outside the station and follow the footpath to the small viaduct. Bear left here and just go up the road for about half a mile and the bone church is round a corner on the right hand side. You cant go wrong and its signposted anyway.It will take you no more than 15 mins to walk.Another 15 mins and youre in the town centre. You can see the church spires and the tops of tall builings in the distance from the Bone Church so I dont see why you would need a map to get there.

Maybe my response wasn't clear, you don't need a map to get to the bone church but if you decide to try and walk to the city center from the bone church, you should have one. I think it took us about 1/2 hour but there is train service and also a bus, ask at the church and they should be able to direct you.
