Santa Monica Public Transpo

Hi,

I'm going to be in Santa Monica at the Hyatt Century Plaza on Ave. of the Stars. How far is the pier, and is there public transpo I can take to get there?
Also, besides the beach, what else can I do in the area with a three year old?

Actually, you will be in West Los Angeles, only one mile from Beverly Hills, 6 miles to Hollywood, and 7 1/2 miles to Santa Monica Pier. The Blue Bus is in the area. You could take a 3 year old to Mothers Beach in Marina Del Rey.

The Third Street Promenade is also good for children. There are is a lot going on and lots of things to look at. The street performers would be very entertaining for a little one too.
