Hi, we would like to see Lahemaa National Park while we are visiting Tallinn. Would you please tell me if there is a public bus from Tallinn old city to the park? Any suggestions?

Depends, where exactly you want to go, but bus connections to this area are rather lousy.

Lahemaa is nothing special, go better more to the east and visit sea resort Toila with beautiful park, beach... and Valaste waterfall with wonderful limestone shore.

Lahemaa National Park locates in Palmse (Lääne-Virumaa county). The easiest way to get the Park is rent a car. From the public transport it is possible to go by bus from Tallinn to Viitna (ticket price - 60-65 EEK), then walk or take another bus from Viitna to Palmse. Check the bus timetable on www.bussireisid.ee.

Travel agencies also offer different tours to Lahemaa. One of them you will find in Tallinn tourist information center (http://www.tourism.tallinn.ee/fpage/explore/sightseeing). The price is 900 EEK/ 57,5 EUR and includes guided 6-hour bus tour starting from Viru Hotel covers all of the area’s major sights, including the fascinating Palmse, Sagadi and Vihula manors.

Thanks for all of your replies. I think I will pass on Laheema park as we only have two days in Tallinn. I didn't want to do a tour because they spend all day there and I don't want to stay there for that long. Thanks again! Any tips on things to see in Tallinn?
