Hello everyone,
I am flying on Tuesday to Bangkok, however, I will have a 12 hour layover in Singapore. I was thinking of leaving my luggage at the airport, jump on the MRT and then explore Singapore a little bit.

- Is a check-in with Tiger Airways early morning (8.00 am) possible, when the flight leaves at 18.00 hours
- Which MRT station is recommended to land up in city center
- Which MRT stations are for SIN highlights (eg Merlion, Raffles)
- Shopping: Since I will be flying to BKK, do you think that I can get cheaper prices in SIN? I need a new mobile phone, an Ipod Touch, and maybe some fake designer wear (Ed Hardy)
- Is SIN Airport Duty Free Shop cheaper than in city, eg for the Ipod purchase
- any recommendations for this coming Tuesday?
- any recommendations in general

Hi,
I can't help you with the prices, but I'm thinking that BKK will be cheaper. In SG, try to use the "GST Back" whereever possible when you buy stuff in town.
You will not be able to check your bags into your onward connection to BKK 12 hours before the flight. I think there are some left luggage facilities - see if you can find out on the Changi airport web site.
To get into town catch the MRT to Raffles place where you can find the merlion and the esplanade. Take a walk up boat quay to clarke quay and then catch a bus to Orchard road to go shopping.

just got back yesterday and we flew Tiger into the budget terminal. There is a left luggage facility on the far right as you walk into the budget terminal and the cost is in 24hour brackets. 2 big bags and a backpack cost SGP 8.50, which is cheap. Take the free shuttle to Terminal 2 and then sky train to terminal 3 and then catch the MRT into town. About 45-55 minutes
